Bishop Dr. Errol O'Savio


An ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., Bishop Errol O’Savio has served as Senior Pastor of the Mt. Olivet Apostolic Faith Church, located in the city of Mt. Vernon, state of New York, since January 1, 1999.


In May 2020, he was appointed by the Board of Bishops of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World to serve as the Diocesan of the Republic of Zimbabwe, South Central Africa, which is the 44th Episcopal District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.


In the New York State Council, he served for 23 consecutive years in elected office as General Secretary, Vice Chairman and Chairman. With his professional background in Finance and Computer he was able to lead the revolution of moving the New York State Council from a note book environment to being completely computerized. As Suffragan Bishop he was the leader of District One, covering Bronx, Long Island, Westchester and Orange Counties. He continues to serve on the Executive Board.


Educated at Pace University and Aenon Bible College, he holds Bachelor degrees in Business Administration with concentration in Finance and in Pastoral Ministry. He also received the Degree of Doctor of Divinity from St. Thomas Christian University.


As a member of the Executive Board of the International Missions of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, he has served as Treasurer, 2nd Vice President and 1st Vice President. His travel to spread the word of God has taken him to Jamaica, West Indies, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Philippines, Mexico, Israel, Zimbabwe and throughout the United States of America.


Bishop Errol O’Savio has served in the Mt. Vernon community in several areas   on several community boards, including the Executive Boards of the United Black Clergy of Westchester (a coalition of religious ministers), and the Naomi House (shelter for battered women).


Bishop O’Savio is sustained by his loving family; wife since 1976, Suffragan Bishop Judith O’Savio, Executive Pastor of the Mt. Olivet Apostolic Faith Church, daughter, Desiree, son, Alexander, six grandchildren, Dominic, Demetrius, Dallas, Madison, Blessan, and Noah along with a vibrant Mt. Olivet Apostolic Faith Church membership.


Bishop Errol O’Savio continues to use the power of the pulpit to reach the lost, while supporting the disadvantaged, with emphasis on the youth, whom he believes play an integral part of our church today.
